The export to GPX gives a link gMapToGPX but I don't seem to be able to make it work. Anyone know how it works? Script appears which I copy and paste into Notepad and then rename as .gpx file but file cannot be read. What am I doing wrong?

This had stopped working when the site was moved to SSL. I've fixed the bookmarklet, note that you'll need to generate a new bookmarklet, just follow the instructions at http://blog.gmap-pedometer.com/fix-to-gmaptogpx-bookmarklet/
