| What a great motivator! I have not been happy with the pedometers I've bought... didn't feel they were giving me the right feedback & I was right. I'm actually walking farther than I thought. I've lost 25lbs & I feel so much better. It's fantastic to know that when I take a new route or even plan a new route, I'll know how far I've gone or will go & an estimate of how many calories I'm burning. I'm stoked! Thanks so much! |

I totally agree! I just started walking after real panic set in. (I couldn't walk up the subway stairs without feeling the "burn" - and I figured if I didn't start getting out every day, my health would deteriorate to the point where I couldn't even begin to get in shape!)
This is a great way to track mileage as you lose the pounds.
The summer of '94, I walked a bike path near my home in Chicago every day - it was 3.1 miles. I lost 50 pounds. I doubt I'll be able to lose that much this summer - I have no interest in eating nothing but raw vegetables again! Now that I know how many calories I'll burn on every walk, I can build my diet around that. |

| I just started walking as well; unfortunately I should have taken action sooner; however never really had the motivation to get started. Until my daughter had her first child. I want to be able to lose weight so I can be around for my granddaughters 18th birthday. I am glad that I found this forum to see other people who are taking action. |
