I have not yet found a possibility to modify a route once I have drawn and saved it.
It should be possible - I hope it is.
Can someone help me?

If you saved the route while logged in to the site, you can go to the "bookmarks" page, and choose "edit". That will take you the map page, and any changes you make there will be reflected in that bookmarked route.
If you created the route while not logged in, you can still modify it, but any changes will be saved as a new route. This is because without the benefit of login, there can be no concept of a user "owning" a route -- user B could make changes to a route created by user A if it were possible to make changes to a public route.
