Topo layers and GmapToGPX are back

  1. paul says:

Now that US Federal government is open, USGS layers are running again. Sorry, these layers are US only. But on the other hand if you can't see the layers, it means you do have a functioning government, so there's that.

Also, user Seafoodbuffet has kindly updated the GmapToGPX bookmarklet to be compliant with the new Google Maps API. Follow instructions from the "Export as GPX" link from the main page. Thanks!

  2. pyrdrun says:

What a great program! Thank you!

  3. jeff_porter says:

Does G-Map have 'tcx' files available to download? I don't see them on routes I have designed. Am I just not finding them?

  4. run4fredom says:

why is Gmap to GPX not working anymore?

  5. mlanpher says:

What is the API Key on Open Cycle?

  6. paul says:

Sorry, the API key for Opencycle message wasn't meant for you, it was meant for me -- I hadn't realized that they'd made a change (gone commercial in fact) and the opencycle map now requires an API key. I've added one to the code, and you should no longer see this message.

  7. rbryan71 says:

Gmap to GPX doesn't work because:

VM5356:1 Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5914370'; was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script 'http://seafoodbuffet.github.io/gMapToGPX/assets/javascript/gmap_to_gpx.min.js';. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

  8. nsamuels says:

why is Gmap to GPX not working anymore? I tried using different browsers, all to no avail.

  9. paul says:

This had stopped working when the site was moved to SSL. I've fixed the bookmarklet, note that you'll need to generate a new bookmarklet, just follow the instructions at http://blog.gmap-pedometer.com/fix-to-gmaptogpx-bookmarklet/
